Mommy wanted to save the happy news to tell Daddy on Motzei Shabbat, which will be the 3rd anniversary of our engagement. But she couldn't wait anymore, so she made a special surprise.
Daddy drove Mommy home from work and then went on a quick shopping trip. While Daddy was at the store, Mommy wrote a poem (see below) on an accordion-folded sheet of paper. Then she put it in a ring box and gave it to Daddy as his Chanuka/early anniversary present.
Daddy was surprised and so so happy to find out the special news.
Three years ago,
on New Year's Eve,
you gave me a ring.
Tonight I am giving you
something even smaller than a ring.
But iy"H one day
it will be much, much bigger.
Hey, wait a minute...
We both know I only celebrate Jewish holidays!
I guess you'll have to wait until Rosh Hashana 5767....
to meet our
precious baby
boy or girl.

Last Hurrah
Mommy had another progesterone test today (170.5) and got 118 on her blood test for HCG at the doctor's office today. She is being very cautious and doesn't want to get her hopes up yet...so she doesn't tell Daddy.
A family takes Mommy and Daddy out for dinner to 1868 tonight and Mommy has her "last hurrah" - carpaccio, rare steak, and a few sips of dessert wine.

Hashem Rocks!
Daddy planned a very special birthday weekend for Mommy. On Friday he took her to Kever Rachel, where they prayed for a baby and Mommy read the Parsha where Hashem finally grants Rachel with children.
For Shabbat he took her to Kiryat Arba, and they walked to Chevron and M'arat HaMachpela to daven there.
On Motzei Shabbat they went out to dinner at Yotvata in the mall, and then watched the Harry Potter movie. On the way home they picked up some trempistim (yeshiva and seminary kids) and drove them to the Old City. Then Mommy and Daddy went to the Kotel, where they davened even more!
Thank you, Hashem, for listening to our prayers!
